Conyers Dill & Pearman joined forces with the Cayman Islands Blood Bank on 16 October to set up an in-house blood drive at the firm’s offices in Cricket Square.
Nurses from the Health Services Authority were on site to conduct the blood donation and had 17 new donors registered during the half day session.
“I am proud of our team for participating in this important initiative. The need for blood is constant in the Cayman Islands, as is the case in many parts of the world. I hope that our blood donation will not only impact the community, but will also inspire others to donate”, said Kevin Butler, Partner and Head of Cayman Office. “Supporting our local communities and making real contributions is at the core of who we are as a firm and we continue to look for ways to make a difference”.
Established in 1999, the non-profit Cayman Blood Donor Service supports the HSA with the aim of educating the public on the importance and simplicity around the process of voluntarily donating blood as well as acting as a liaison between voluntary donors, the HSA and other related agencies.
