Conyers advised Africa Specialty Risks (“ASR”), pan-African focused reinsurance group, on the formation of ASR Re Limited and as well as its licencing as a Class 3A insurer located in Bermuda.
It is anticipated that the ASR Group will in time offer a full suite of products from its Bermudian reinsurer, including Political Risk & Trade Credit, Political Violence & Terrorism, Property, Energy, Liability, Construction and Parametric. Once rated, this capacity will be used to bolster the Group’s current MGA capacity supporting investment and business into and throughout Africa.
