Conyers advised Castlelake, L.P. in connection with the Bermuda law aspects of its fifth structured ABS financing, Castlelake Aircraft Structured Trust 2018-1 (CLAS 2018-1). CLAS 2018-1 which priced on 7 June 2018 totals US$911.3 million of asset-backed debt and will be used to finance a diversified portfolio of 36 younger mid-life aircraft on lease to 18 lessees in 15 countries.

Castlelake will act as servicer for the transaction. Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. acted as joint structuring agents and joint lead bookrunners for the transaction. Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas acted as joint bookrunners. Natixis S.A. served as a passive bookrunner.

Conyers provided Bermuda law advice to Castlelake in connection with its prior four asset-backed debt issuances: CLAS 2017-1 (US$785.5 million issuance), CLAS 2016-1 (US$916 million issuance), CLAS 2015-1 (US$713 million issuance) and CLAS 2014-1 (US$515.6 million issuance).
