Conyers Dill & Pearman provided BVI law advice to GFI Software on the sale of its TeamViewer business segment to Permira, one of Europe’s largest private equity funds. GFI Software is a portfolio company of Insight Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners. The investment is expected to support the company’s growth plans and the continued expansion in emerging markets of Latin America and the Asia Pacific region.
TeamViewer is the world’s most downloaded remote support solution for consumers and small and medium-size businesses. Headquartered in Germany, TeamViewer’s remote support product has been installed on more than 500 million devices and is being used by 130 million active users across more than 100 countries. GFI Software, whose largest shareholder is Insight Venture Partners, develops IT solutions for small to mid-sized business with generally up to 1,000 users. Permira, a European private equity firm, advises funds with a total commitment capital of approximately €25 billion.
