Conyers Dill and Pearman advised Global Emerging Markets (GEM) on a successful exchange of its shares of Mass Noble Investments Limited, a British Virgin Islands company, for shares of Duc Long Gia Lai Group JSC, a Vietnamese company listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
DLG is a leading manufacturer of electronic components.
GEM is a private equity group based in New York.
Mass Noble Investments Limited has electronic manufacturing interests in Hong Kong and China. This exchange of shares represents the expansion of DLG outside of Vietnam, and is a pioneering transaction in Vietnam. It also represents the continued investment and contribution of GEM into DLG.
Chris Brown, a director of GEM, at the closing ceremony indicated he is looking forward to working with DLG and providing strategic assistance with its growth in foreign markets.
