On 9 January 2018, Mobius concluded its token pre-sale selling US$35 million (US$10 million more than projected) worth of its MOBI token in the largest token pre-sale of Q4 2017 and Q1 2018. The public token sale took place nine days later on 18 January 2018 and was scheduled to close on 18 February 2018, but sold out in just over two hours.

The MOBI token sale was the first major token sale built on and supported by Stellar. The Mobius Network allows companies and consumers to exchange data by smart contracts and easily plug into the blockchain ecosystem. Mobius provides stability, security, credibility, and solid framework to a rapidly developing ecosystem. MOBI is the token used by the Mobius Network to facilitate safe and secure transactions and data sharing throughout the blockchain economy.
