Conyers has announced that it will close its Dubai office on 30 June 2018 and will open a MENA desk in London. Oliver Simpson will relocate to Conyers’ London office. This change comes as part of a broader market strategy to strengthen its offices in the offshore financial centres in which it currently operates, whilst continuing to service worldwide financial markets through its offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.
For over a decade Conyers’ Dubai office has serviced the needs of an international client base that has included financiers, corporate groups, asset managers and onshore firms. Conyers’ attorneys combine technical expertise and extensive knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa region.
Christian Luthi, Director and Chairman said: “This decision was made as part of a strategic realignment of the firm’s priorities to focus on servicing our MENA clients through our other offices – offering centralized services that will meet the demands of their global operations”.
