Conyers Appoints Mark Yeadon to Lead Hong Kong Disputes & Restructuring Practice

Conyers’ Hong Kong office has hired senior partner Mark Yeadon to bolster the firm’s disputes and restructuring offering in Asia, as demand for complex commercial dispute resolution services grows.

Mark joins as Partner and Head of Hong Kong Disputes & Restructuring. Mark brings with him 40 years of experience advising on commercial litigation, investigations, compliance and regulatory matters in both Hong Kong and London. Prior to joining Conyers, he was a partner at Eversheds Sutherland, and was the Head of Asia Litigation and Dispute Management. He was also a partner and Head of the Hong Kong Litigation practice at Slaughter and May until 2010.

Mark advises clients throughout Asia and specialises in the resolution of commercial disputes by arbitration, court proceedings and mediation. He has a wealth of experience advising on a wide range of commercial and financial disputes for multinational and domestic corporates in a variety of industries and for major international and domestic banks. In particular, he has advised on matters arising out of complex financial transactions including derivatives, breaches of commercial contract, breaches of directors’ and employees’ duties, fraud, negligence, and shareholder disputes.

Mark will be based in the Hong Kong office where he will lead the litigation team alongside partners Norman Hau and Michael Makridakis and counsel Anna Lin. The team forms part of Conyers’ Asia Disputes & Restructuring Group with dedicated lawyers in Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands.

Christopher Bickley, Partner and Head of the Hong Kong Office comments: “Mark comes with an impressive track record and decades of experience. His arrival represents our dedication to servicing regional clients and to further strengthen our position in the market. We are excited to continue to grow our capability in Asia and to deliver high-quality international commercial litigation and restructuring services to our clients.”

Mark has been recognised as a leading lawyer in both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 for many years.

“I am very excited to be joining the litigation and restructuring department and to be able to lead the dedicated team of talented lawyers in Hong Kong which is known for its excellent client service and commercial solutions.
