Conyers is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Digital Communications and Business Development Executive. This full time role will be based out of the British Virgin Islands. There may be opportunity to travel to support specific initiatives.
This is an integral role that will support Conyers’ global business strategy. Working closely with the Partners, Lawyers and Business Managers, the successful candidate will be the cornerstone of support for the BVI product across our global offices, and have responsibility for the planning, management and execution of all marketing activities, as well as support select global initiatives as assigned.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Communications, with a dotted line to the Senior Manager of Business Development, interacting with the wider marketing production team including; Creative, Digital, Business Intelligence, and Administration, located in Conyers global offices.

Key Job Accountabilities
- Working alongside the Senior Manager of Business Development, drive annual business planning for various practice, industry and strategic initiative groups, and work with lawyers to develop and execute their practice plans for both the legal and client services business lines
- Be a trusted advisor to the lawyers by providing business intelligence on competitor and global market activity, and identifying potential opportunities for the jurisdictional products in key markets, as well as client and prospect research
- Leading and/or providing support for the execution of business development initiatives including: targeting, international business trips, sponsorships, speaking engagements, directory and client award submissions
- Working alongside the Senior Manager of Communications, and in conjunction with the Digital team, to create coordinated content across a range of channels and functions: collateral, newsletters, alerts, articles and thought leadership pieces, presentations, press releases, client specific materials, pitch documents, event materials, social media content, and market updates
- Together with the Senior Manager of Digital & Media, develop integrated online advertising campaigns for practice groups with the view to raising awareness and generating leads in key markets. Support campaign production through keyword research, assembling strategy plans and results reporting
- Collaborate with the Communications and Digital teams to facilitate the distribution of content from drafting webpages in WordPress and social posts within the Loomly scheduling platform
- Manage budgets and report on progress of marketing plans and key initiatives
- Work with all stakeholders to effectively use CRM system
Experience and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or Law or equivalent
- Three+ years of relevant experience in marketing and business development in professional services, preferably in a law firm
- Knowledge of core marketing principles and processes
- A confident self-starter, with sound judgement, positive energy, and a strategic mindset, who will win the trust of and build relationships with all key stakeholders
- Superior communications skills, including written and verbal, as well as outstanding organizational skills and project management experience
- The ability to identify opportunities, connect the dots and apply innovation and experience to promote the firm in accordance with Conyers strategy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team, including following set workflows, processes and policies
- Familiarity with the offshore legal sector, including product offering, professional bodies, industry trends and competitors. A relevant business network is highly desirable
- Familiarity with developing integrated marketing campaigns involving digital and content marketing elements is an asset
- Experience with Monday.com, CRM systems, Vuture, Contact Monkey, WordPress, Loomly (or equivalent) and Cision is an asset
