Jacqueline King is a Director in the Corporate department of Conyers Dill & Pearman in the Bermuda office. She joined Conyers in 2012 and her practice includes all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on insurance law and regulation.
Jacqueline specializes in the licensing and ongoing regulation of insurance companies and regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and direct listings, equity and debt financing as well as private placements.
What a year it has been since our last Insurance Bulletin in March 2020. Although the full impact of Covid-19 on the re/insurance industry remains unclear, the need to retain capital to meet potential losses has contributed to a general hardening of the market after 15 years of soft market conditions characterised by excess capacity, low prices and more relaxed policy terms.
