Jacqueline King is an Associate in the Corporate department of Conyers Dill & Pearman in the Bermuda office. She joined Conyers in 2012 and her practice includes all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on insurance law and regulation.

Jacqueline specializes in the licensing and ongoing regulation of insurance companies including captives, special purpose insurers, catastrophe bonds, sidecars, segregated account companies and large commercial insurers. Jacqueline also advises on all aspects of general corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, private placements, the formation and regulation of cryptocurrency and digital token vehicles, digital asset business and redomestications.

  • Acted for Pacific Investment Management Company LLC on the formation and licensing of its new reinsurance vehicle, Newport Re Ltd.
  • Acted for Watford Holdings Ltd. on its direct listing on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
  • Acted for investment manager Apollo Global Management LLC on their acquisition of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited (NYSE:AHL) in an all-cash transaction valued at US$2.6 billion.
  • Acted for Enstar Group Limited and Allianz SE in connection with the licensing of their new joint venture life and P&C reinsurer, Enhanzed Re Ltd.
  • Acted for Neuberger Berman Group LLC on its acquisition of the specialist asset manager Cartesian Re and its affiliate Iris Reinsurance Ltd.
  • Acted for Sirius International Insurance Group Ltd. in its US$2.2 billion market capitalization initial public offering via its business combination with Easterly Acquisition Corp.
  • Acted for AXA SA in its US$15.3 billion acquisition of XL Group.
  • Acted for Uulala, Ltd. and tribeOS Ltd., Bermuda’s first two companies to be approved to conduct offerings by the Island’s Minister of Finance under its new initial coin offering (ICO) regulations.
  • Acted for Sompo Holdings, Inc. on its US$6.3 billion acquisition of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
