At the invitation of Frederick Hui, Dispute Resolution Partner at Zhong Lun law firm, Conyers Litigation and Restructuring Partner, Norman Hau, delivered a presentation titled “Latest Information on Debt Restructuring of Hong Kong Listed Companies Registered in the Cayman Islands” , on 31st March 2022 to an audience of over 70 attendees from Zhong Lun’s PRC office .
The topics discussed included:
- the “O-Zbee” technique,
- “soft-touch” provisional liquidations in Cayman for restructuring purposes,
- the Hong Kong Court’s recent criticisms,
- Cayman Court’s judicial reactions in recent cases, and
- Cayman’s forthcoming new restructuring regime.
The presentation raised great interest with audience queries, lively discussion and illustrative explanations from Norman.
