Conyers provided Bermuda legal counsel to Shangri-La Asia Limited in connection with its issuance of 2025 Medium Term Notes (Series 2) under the Bond Connect scheme. The total issuance is capped at RMB 1 billion, structured in two tranches:
- Tranche 1: Up to RMB 500 million, with a maturity of 3+2 years. This includes an interest rate adjustment option for the company and a sell-back option for investors at the end of the third year.
- Tranche 2: Up to RMB 500 million, with a 5-year maturity.
The bonds were registered with the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (NAFMII).
Conyers has a longstanding relationship with Shangri-La Asia, a leading global developer, owner, and operator of hotels and associated properties.
