Partner Richard Evans of Conyers BVI office together with Partners Mark Yeadon, Norman Hau and Anna Lin of Conyers’ Hong Kong office hosted our second hybrid event on the significance of the decisions and approach of the BVI Commercial Court for Asian based clients on Wednesday, 24 May 2023.
Close to 100 attendees participated in the session and we are pleased to have received great feedback from clients.
The session focused on the approach of the BVI courts to debt restructuring, shareholder disputes and enforcement of arbitration awards as well as the effect of the new BVI Civil Procedure Rules. Our speakers also interacted with the audience at the end of the session as part of a lengthy Q&A session, taking questions in person and via our online platform.
