Alexis Haynes is a Senior Associate in the Bermuda Corporate practice. Alexis joined Conyers in 2019 after practicing in the corporate department of another Bermuda law firm.

Alexis’ practice includes general corporate and commercial law, including cross-border corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, amalgamations, relocations, the establishment and regulation of investment funds, fintech and compliance and regulatory matters.

Advised Carnival Corporation in respect of its private offering of US$1 billion aggregate principal amount of 5.875% senior unsecured notes due 2031.
Advised New Fortress Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: NFE), global energy infrastructure company, on the sale of its assets and operations in Jamaica to Excelerate Energy, Inc. (NYSE: EE) for US$1.055 billion.
Advised Bruton Limited on its admission to trading on Euronext Growth Oslo, giving the company an estimated market capitalisation of NOK 514.8 million.
Acted as special Bermuda counsel to Teekay Corporation Ltd. and Teekay Tankers Ltd. on their redomiciliation from the Marshall Islands to Bermuda, positioning the NYSE-listed companies for long-term success.
Advised Golar LNG, a leading NASDAQ-listed maritime LNG infrastructure company, on its US$300 million unsecured bond issuance in the Nordic bond market and application for listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Assisted the Probitas Group in the acquisition of its ultimate holding company, Probitas Holdings (Bermuda) Limited by UK insurer Aviva Plc for GBP242 million.
Advised Financials Acquisition Corp (FAC) on its business combination with Bermuda-incorporated London Innovation Underwriters Limited (LIU) and proposed capital raise by way of a global offering of new securities and proposed admittance of LIU to the main market of London Stock Exchange (LSE).
Assisted Genesis on a new six-year US$215 million Term Loan. The proceeds were raised to refinance existing aircraft and release the existing warehouse capacity to support future growth. The transaction received the “Structured Finance Deal of the Year” at the 2023 Airline Economics’ Americas 100 Awards.
Advised Carnival Corporation & plc on a debt refinancing transaction resulting in approximately US$1.8 billion of proceeds to the company.
