Conyers provided British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands legal advice to HKT Group Holdings Limited (“HKT”) in connection with the issue by its indirect subsidiary, HKT Capital No. 6 Limited, of an aggregate principal amount of US$650 million 3.00% guaranteed notes due 2032 unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by the HKT and Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited.
HKT (collectively with its subsidiaries) is Hong Kong’s premier telecommunications service provider and leading operator in fixed-line, broadband and mobile communication services. It provides a wide range of services including local telephony, local data and broadband, international telecommunications, mobile, enterprise solutions and other telecommunications businesses such as customer premises equipment sales, outsourcing, consulting, and contact centres to the Hong Kong public and local and international businesses.
