Conyers is pleased to announce that Partner Eric Flaye has relocated from Conyers’ London office to the British Virgin Islands (BVI), where he has assumed the role of Head of Investment Funds and Regulatory & Risk Advisory (BVI).

Eric’s return further strengthens Conyers’ BVI regulatory and funds offering, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in on-the-ground expertise to support clients navigating increasingly complex regulatory and investment structures.

Commenting on his move, Eric said, “the British Virgin Islands is a leading offshore domicile for investment funds, Web3 structures and other regulated investment entities, and I am delighted to be physically re-joining the team here in BVI. Relocating back offshore allows me to work even more closely with our clients and colleagues, and to continue delivering practical, commercially focused structuring and regulatory advice in a rapidly evolving environment.”

Mark Forte, Partner and Head of the BVI Office and the Litigation & Restructuring practice, added, “Eric’s relocation to the BVI underscores both the strategic importance of the jurisdiction and the depth of our commitment to clients. His leadership in regulatory and investment funds matters will be invaluable as we continue to support clients across sophisticated cross-border structures and complex regulatory frameworks.”

Anton Goldstein, Partner and Head of the BVI Corporate Practice, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Eric back to the BVI office. The volume and complexity of global regulation is ever growing, and clients increasingly require more sophisticated services. Eric’s return to the BVI to further consolidates our position as the leading funds and regulatory team in the BVI.”

Eric was previously based in Conyers’ BVI office for four years before relocating to the UK in 2019 to lead the firm’s London office as Head of Office. Eric’s appointment and relocation reflect Conyers’ continued focus on strengthening its market-leading capabilities in BVI and ensuring clients benefit from senior expertise across key practice areas.
