Conyers has acted as Cayman Islands legal counsel to Lithium Africa Resources Corp. (the “Company”) on its successful qualifying transaction with Lithium Africa Corp. (formerly named Lombard Street Capital Corp., “LAF”) and subsequent listing on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Pursuant to the qualifying transaction, LAF acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of the Company by way of statutory merger effected under the laws of the Cayman Islands. The qualifying transaction was approved by the Company’s shareholders in an extraordinary general meeting held on 9 October 2025 and the transaction formally closed on 11 February 2026.

On 19 February 2026, LAF’s shares began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “LAF”.

The Company has an established joint venture partnership to advance exploration in Africa and through this joint venture partnership the Company has an indirect 50% interest in a portfolio of exploration assets in various hardrock pegmatite districts across a number of prospective African regions covering the Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali and Zimbabwe.

The Conyers team was led by Partner Cora Miller and Associate Daniel Cannon, working alongside McMillan LLP as lead legal counsel for the Company.
