The most recent legislative update includes:
- Amendments made by the Beneficial Ownership (Consequential Amendments) Order 2025, effective 3 November 2025, to:
- the Companies Act 1981, sub-sections 2, 4A, 14, 11, 131, 132N, and 135, repealing sections 255(A1)(aa); section 289(2) to (5); and Part VIA;
- the Exchange Control Act 1972, sub-sections 1 and 2;
- the Exchange Control Regulations 1973, regulation 2 and 46A, and revocation of regulations 3(3A), 12, 13, 13A, 13B, 22 and Part IV
- Amendments to section 2 of the Exempted Undertakings Tax Protection Act 1966 made by section 51 of the Corporate Income Tax Act 2023 operative 1 January 2025
