Director Janice Oh of Conyers’ Singapore office, Partner Anton Goldstein of Conyers’ British Virgin Islands office and Counsel Christopher Page of Conyers’ Hong Kong office held a cross-office webinar on BVI Funds and BVI Approved Managers provided practical and actionable analysis of legal issues facing in-house counsel, onshore lawyers and fund managers.
We are pleased to have received encouraging responses joined by over 50 attendees at our live session.
Janice started off the webinar with an introduction. Anton then continued with his discussion on the differences between open-ended and close-ended funds. Christopher then explained why BVI funds and approved managers are a sensible choice for you.
Our speakers also interacted with the audience at the end of the webinar through the Q&A session and tackled quite a number of questions and discussed on whether there are any benefit of having a BVI investment manager in structure, rather than just having a Hong Kong/Singapore investment manager or whether we expect Economic Substance regime to be applied to BVI managers in the near future.
