Conyers Dill & Pearman provided Bermuda legal advice to Odfjell Drilling Ltd in relation to its purchase of a semi-submersible, harsh environment drilling unit. The vessel, named Deepsea Nordkapp, was built in Korea by Samsung Heavy Industries and upon delivery was registered on the Bermuda Ship Registry. The vessel is expected to start drilling operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in Q2 2019.
