Conyers’ Bermuda office hosted a client seminar on 4 December 2025 as part of its Conyers Counsels Series, drawing more than 40 senior in-house attorneys from leading local and international businesses. The session was led by Harvard Law School Professor Scott Westfahl, who facilitated an interactive case-study discussion modeled on Harvard’s renowned teaching methodology.
Launched in 2024, the Conyers Counsels Series was created in response to the growing demand for high-level professional development within the legal community. This latest workshop introduced the Harvard Law School case-study approach to Bermuda, offering in-house counsel the opportunity to examine complex legal and leadership challenges in a dynamic, classroom-style setting.
Conyers Director Jennifer Panchaud expressed her appreciation for the strong turnout during an especially busy time of year. “It’s remarkable that so many general counsels and assistant general counsels were willing to carve out four hours from their schedules. We’re seeing a clear appetite for high-quality professional development and a willingness to invest in meaningful learning opportunities. Conyers is pleased to offer clients the rare chance to experience a Harvard Law School–style class right here in Bermuda.”
Professor Westfahl commended participants for the calibre of their contributions, noting the high level of engagement and thoughtful discussion throughout the seminar. The session highlighted the increasingly complex role of in-house counsel, whose responsibilities broaden in scope and demand.
Conyers looks forward to continuing the Conyers Counsels Series in 2026, further supporting the development of legal professionals navigating today’s rapidly evolving business and regulatory landscape.
