Conyers has advised CordenPharma, a leading pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation, on its acquisition of Ambio Pharmaceuticals, a peptide developer, by way of a Cayman Islands statutory merger.
The transaction expands the company’s upstream and downstream peptide manufacturing footprint by adding capacity for US-based peptide API supply and introducing Shanghai-based production capabilities for global customers.
Since its acquisition by Astorg in 2022, CordenPharma has continued to expand its global peptides platform through strategic investments and increased manufacturing capacity. As part of the transaction, AmbioPharm’s shareholders will reinvest in the combined business.
The Conyers’ Cayman Islands mergers and acquisitions team advising CordenPharma included Partners Alex Davies and Matthew Harkness, Senior Associate Caroline Dekker and Associate Daniel Cannon, who worked alongside a cross-border corporate team at Latham & Watkins LLP, lead legal counsel to CordenPharma.
