Conyers acted as British Virgin Islands legal counsel to Xiangyu Investment (BVI) Co., Ltd. (“Xiangyu”) in connection with its issue of US$155 million 5.3% guaranteed bonds due 2028 (the “Original Bonds”) and the issue of US$145 million 5.3% guaranteed bonds due 2028 which will be consolidated and form a single series with the Original Bonds. The bonds are unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Huai’an Development Holdings Co., Ltd. (the “Guarantor”), and are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Xiangyu, the Guarantor and the subsidiaries of the Guarantor are designated to carry out the People’s Government of Huai’an Municipality’s blueprint for infrastructure construction and municipal development in the Huai’an Economic and Technological Development Zone.
