Conyers continues to reinforce its global regulatory and risk advisory offering, delivering integrated, cross‑border services through its Bermuda, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands and Hong Kong offices. The expanded practice reflects increasing client demand for coordinated advice across offshore and onshore regulatory regimes in an evolving global compliance environment.

Conyers’ Regulatory & Risk Advisory teams advise financial institutions, investment managers, funds, insurers, fintech businesses, family offices and corporates on the full lifecycle of regulatory matters, ranging from establishment and licensing through to ongoing compliance, regulatory changes, inspections, enforcement and remediation.

With deep local expertise and a pragmatic, commercial approach, the firm supports clients navigating complex and fast-moving regulatory frameworks administered by bodies including the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), the BVI Financial Services Commission (BVIFSC).

Strategic Leadership and Cross‑Jurisdictional Capability

Partner and Head of Regulatory & Risk Advisory (Cayman), Róisín Liddy-Murphy, plays a key role in shaping the firm’s regulatory business development strategy, reinforcing Conyers’ ability to deliver coordinated, multi‑jurisdictional regulatory advice across its global platform.

Central to the expansion is the recent promotion of Alexander Doyle, Head of Regulatory & Risk Advisory (Asia) to Partner. Based in Hong Kong, Alexander leads the firm’s regulatory strategy across the Asia‑Pacific region, working closely with Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands offices to support clients navigating offshore regulatory regimes.

In parallel, Partner Eric Flaye returns to the BVI office from Conyers’ London office as Head of Investment Funds and Regulatory & Risk Advisory (BVI), further strengthening the firm’s regulatory depth, enhancing local expertise and reinforcing collaboration across jurisdictions. Eric brings extensive experience advising on private capital structuring and fundraising, fintech/Web3, and related regulatory compliance matters.

Rounding out the firm’s global reach, Director Jennifer Panchaud is Head of Regulatory & Risk Advisory in Bermuda, adding further senior capability to Conyers’ regulatory and corporate bench. She has a strong focus on (re)insurance regulatory matters, advising clients on corporate governance and regulatory remediation projects.

“Our regulatory teams are aligned around a common objective, which is providing clear, practical and commercially‑focused advice across jurisdictions,” said Partner and Head of Regulatory & Risk Advisory (Cayman), Róisín Liddy-Murphy. “With enhanced leadership in Asia and deeper regulatory capability in the Bermuda and BVI offices, Conyers is exceptionally well placed to support clients facing heightened regulatory scrutiny globally.”

The continued expansion of the firm’s regulatory capabilities across its offices is a clear demonstration of its commitment to supporting clients in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. By investing in experienced advisers, deepening jurisdiction specific expertise and strengthening cross‑border collaboration, the firm is well positioned to guide clients with confidence as they navigate regulatory change in an increasingly complex global environment.
