Conyers advises Clarien Bank Limited on its acquisition of Clarien Bank & Investments Limited and Clarien Trust Company (Cayman) Limited.
Conyers provided Cayman Islands law advice to Clarien Bank Limited (“Clarien”) on its acquisition of NCB (Cayman) Limited (now Clarien Bank & Investments Limited) and NCB Trust Company (Cayman) Limited (now Clarien Trust Company (Cayman) Limited) from National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (“NCBJ”).
On 31 August 2026, Clarien and NCBJ announced the successful acquisition by Clarien of Clarien Bank & Investments Limited, which holds a Class A banking licence issued by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, alongside Clarien Trust Company (Cayman) Limited, its wholly owned trust licensed subsidiary. The transaction provides Clarien with immediate access to domestic and international banking and trust capabilities in the Cayman Islands.
Under Clarien control, Clarien Bank & Investments Limited is also expected to acquire a defined portfolio of wealth and investment management client relationships from NCB Capital Markets (Cayman) Ltd., subject to certain closing conditions.
