Conyers Hong Kong is dedicated in supporting those in need in the community. Through partnerships with local charities, we strive to help school children in various ways, by offering valuable learning opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

It’s the third year in a row, we partnered with he Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (“BGCA”) to organise outdoor activities for underprivileged school children.

On Saturday, 23 September, volunteers from Conyers’ Hong Kong office took 20 primary school children to the Cup Noodles Museum Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Volunteers including, Partners Piers Alexander and Angie Chu, Counsel Alexander Doyle, Senior Associates Ryan McConvey and Flora Zeng, Associates Charlie Chan, Yvonne Lee, Jasamine Yung and Tonicia Williams, Legal Manager Michelle Au, Paralegal Yoyo Mui and team members from the Business Development & Marketing Team, Hilda Cheng and Audrey Wang also took part in the museum visit.

The Conyers volunteers met the children at the entrance of the museum where Partner Piers Alexander gave some opening remarks before all the fun and games. The children were paired in groups with the volunteers who helped them explore the different interactive zones at the museum.

The students were amazed by the mega display wall with the full collection of cup noodles produced from different countries. The children were guided by the volunteers to learn about the story of this famous Cup noodles brand. They were fascinated as they completed some mini games and challenges set by BGCA.

Everyone get to participate in an exclusive workshop that they could get to make and decorate their own cup noodles to bring home!

The children worked together with our volunteers to create their own personalized cup noodles.

After the workshop, the school children along with the volunteers proceeded to the Royal Pacific Hotel nearby for a buffet lunch. While munching on the scrumptious meal, the students had a blast chatting with the volunteers, sharing stories about themselves and having a great time together.

“Whilst we are immersed in our legal work and going about our busy lives, our perspective of those from diverse backgrounds in our community can be quite limited. Conyers’ volunteering initiative with BGCA was a great opportunity to fulfil my social responsibility to give back to the community. Not only did I have a fun time exploring the cup noodle museum and designing my own cup noodle with the children, this experience was especially rewarding because it exposed me to the different challenges and realties faced by underprivileged families.” commented Jasamine Yung, associate of the Hong Kong Disputes and Restructuring team.

We would like to thank our Conyers volunteers for contributing their time and efforts to this event. We look forward to partnering with BGCA again in the future!
