Anna Chong is a Partner in the Corporate department in the Hong Kong office of Conyers. She joined Conyers in 2006.

Anna’s practice focuses on corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions, with particular expertise in initial public offerings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Global Market. She has broad and extensive experience in both private and public equity and debt offerings.

In recent years, Anna has been actively involved in a number of cross border merger and acquisition deals for both listed and private companies .At the same time , she has also been regularly engaged in debt offerings in Hong Kong and China, particularly in the area of Panda bonds for PRC-based provincial government owned entities and energy and infrastructure companies listed in Hong Kong. She also advises Chinese companies with offshore structures on mezzanine financing through preferred share issues and on other group restructurings, often in preparation for IPOs in the US and Hong Kong.

Anna has spoken at various industry events, including the In-House Congress Shenzhen Conference in June 2019, where she presented the use of offshore structures in private equity financing and IPOs. She is also a contributor to the book entitled “ Cayman Islands Company and Commercial Law”
