Conyers acted as Cayman counsel to MBK Partners HK Limited in connection with the privatisation of eHi Car Services Limited (NYSE: EHIC) (the “Company”) by way of merger. The consideration to be paid to holders of common shares and ADSs implies an equity value for eHi of about US$937.5 million.

The Company is a leading car rental and car services provider in China. It is the exclusive strategic partner in China to the brands Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car owned by Enterprise Holdings, Inc., the largest car rental provider in the world.

This matter was named M&A Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business Hong Kong Law Awards 2019 and won the M&A Deal of the Year by IFLR Asia-Pacific awards 2020. It has also been shortlisted as M&A Deal of the Year – Midsize by The 17th SSQ ALB China Law Awards 2020.
