Conyers provided British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands legal advice to Huazhu Group Limited (the “Company”) in connection with its issue of the aggregate principal amount of US$500 million 3.00% convertible senior notes due 2026, including the issue of an additional US$50 million 3.00% convertible senior notes due 2026 pursuant to the exercise of the option by the initial purchasers, convertible into fully paid Ordinary Shares of par value US$0.0001 each in the capital of the Company represented by American depositary shares.

The Company is a leading and fast-growing multi-brand hotel group in China with an international coverage operating under leased and owned, manachised and franchised models. As of 31 December, 2019, the Company was the second largest hotel group in China and the ninth largest in the world in terms of the number of hotel rooms.
