Conyers acted as special legal counsel in the British Virgin Islands and Bermuda to Beijing Tongchuangjiuding Investment Management Group Co., Ltd (“JD Group”) and FTLife Insurance Company Limited (“FTLife”) in connection with the sale of all of the issued shares in FTLife to New World Development Group.

JD Group is a public company listed on the National Equities and Exchange Quotations (NEEQ) and carries out businesses of private equity investment, securities, futures, insurances, public funds, Internet-based financing, and individual venture capital.

First acquired by JD Group from the Ageas Group in 2015, FTLife has since become one of Hong Kong’s most well-established life insurance companies and is regulated by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority and the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
