Conyers advised on a cross-border deal that involved a Cayman Islands company (with numerous British Virgin Islands subsidiaries), the Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, shares of which are listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the majority of whose operations are conducted in Hong Kong and The People’s Republic of China.
Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited is a Hong Kong jewellery retailer with more than 1,400 outlets in China. Other firms involved in the deal included Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Commerce & Finance Law Offices, Linklaters, Haiwen & Partners and Iu, Lai & Li.
